to my first two pounder. 1lb 15 oz and a hair over 15". I thought for sure it would break 2lbs. Major respect to the guys who consistently catch 2-3lb fish, cause this was a big fish to me.

Nice fish man!!!!!!! A lot of catching them fairly regular is location location location, we are blessed here and take it for granted!!!
Guess I can't complain considering I caught it 50' from my back door.
Yea...i can relate..so close..the crazy part is once you do it..many will follow.
Congratulations on a great fish. Throw her back and she will probably go 2 pounds the next time you catch her.
I know EXACTLY what you mean! I caught 3 - 1.15 oz fish before I broke the 2 pound mark and it took YEARS! But I have caught a few since then so hang in there, it will come!
But when I FINALLY caught my 2 lber, I caught 2 of them the same day. Here is a picture of what I did with mine.

Great catch. I think I might have caught my first 2 pounder a couple of years back when I landed a 15'' female full of eggs. I had no scale to weight her.
