River monsters
Myself and the flycaster hit the river this morning.... After launching around 7:30 we headed around 5 miles north from SR 44, and located some bonnets on the inside of a bend.... About 7 to 5 fow.... Little to no wind....We one poled it with shiny honey's and a small spoon tipped with miners.... Slow jigging.... So the sun hit the jigs just right giving the jig a good flash..... Those big boys couldn't resist it.

I thought that minnows would be the ticket today the jig bite was off for us. We did manage one 7lb sunshine and a few specks. I think everyone was taking advantage of the nice day 20 to 30 boats fishing our area today. We may have to try north tomorrow. As always nice pics glad you geezers had a good time today.

Those are some great fish Micah. I wanted to go today BAD!!! Granddaughter asked me to go Saturday a while ago, and who can refuse that. I'll keep y'all posted.

I snuck in a trip after that job thing this afternoon, I was pushing minnows in about 10-12 fow.
I went north as well.
Caught nine fish and hung something I couldn't budge with 6lb test on a cane pole.
The 4 best fish got invited home for supper.

That strech looks like the canals we fish on out of the Villages in FL. Dipping in the pads gets some nice specs! Will be dipping next month down there! Great job guys that is a nice haul.
