High winds
Been doing a little yard work and working on tackle . Really wanting to fish but these winds keeping me off the water . Did smooth off about 60 lead heads and slip into tubes for when I can fish . The wind stopping everyone :fish this week ? :scratchhead

Yeah that wind and fishing don't mix sad to say!

Danggit, lost my post. Anyway, yeah hard to fish when your bobbing up and down and side to side like a human cork. Hopefully get a break soon, getting antsy myself..

The wind has been rough. I have not had a chance to fish, but I know how rough it can get. I hope the winds calm down so you folks that can go have a better day for it soon.

The wind has definitely slowed us down.

Well I checked the forecast numerous times in the days leading up to yesterday and it repeatedly said winds wnw at 6 -7 mph with gusts of 10 -12, that I can deal with. So I took a day off of work and my son and I made a road trip to go fishing. Well the forecast I was using obviously missed it big time. Winds were probably sustained at 15 -20 mph. Couldn't find any fish where we could get out of the wind and where we found the fish we couldn't get out of the white caps. We caught a few but they were too small. Obviously others get their weather forecasts from somewhere else because we were the only ones on the lake. Still had a good time though.

I fought it all day yesterday for little return on investment. Caught a few drinks. Did catch a monster green carp, which I put back to go on about his business of eating crappie.

If the weather man calls for 10 - 12 mi hour wind if you add them together you will have about the right wind forecast!!!!
