Anybody have an update on the repairs and refilling of Trace Lake? Thoughts on when it will be worth a 12 hour drive to fish it again. Thanks.

Last time I checked they have not done anything . My understanding if the person actually knows is that the spillway mechanism broke while trying to lower for further inspection .There is no time table as to when repairs will begin nor have they decided what needs to be done . Not much to show for amount of closure time . :juggle
MS good target date 2022 !!!!!!.
Talked to them last week....coach is right....nothing has been done water still going out....my neighbor took a ten foot boat over there and took a fwd atv to get it to the water. Anyway they do not know when repairs will start.

Lot of places to fish within 12 hours of ya, choose another one!!!
problem is non of them are what they used to be . My dad said because folks that did not work back in the day could not afford to fish everyday . That compounded by the state charging 7 dollars a day to bank fish causes all to overstock . Guess I'll crappie fish Sardis bream fish Tippah .
Yep, the fees at the state lakes is a little much. I understand charging some but 12 bucks for me and Feesherman to fish Kemper together is a bit too much. I looked at the annual and think it was 170 to cover launching and anyone in the boat with me. COE is 40 and covers all COE ramps in the country.
Heck, come fishing with me! Thousands of acres of untouched water! I'm always looking for someone to fish with. It's Lonely over here in the Delta!
Trace was a good destination for when we got sick of the cold and snow. Usually went down mid March before our lakes were free of ice and rented one of the cabins on the water. Caught some nice fish over the years and played a little golf but mostly got away.
