Yesterday

Was a very good day for me. You may have noticed that I haven't been too active of late. The pickup motor went south about 3 months ago and its trans was weak. Due to many factors, it had to be sidelined til a later date. I was provided for in a very good fashion as a small car was given to me 3 weeks before the truck went down and provided me with a way to work and necessary things. Some might say it was luck, I do not. I have looked over my options to replace it with another used, go for a new one, and even considered selling the other woman to remove the need for a tow vehicle. Been a tough few months. I just couldn't find anything that got my attention. Several that would have satisfied my wants but not suited all my needs. I finally went to the bank and got enough to put the truck back to rights. Bought a Reman motor (Powertrain Products) and had the swap done by a trans shop while they rebuilt the trans. They finished and I picked it up yesterday. Happy to be back in business and back to fishing, once the motor gets a bit of break in time on it. I'm sure ready. Looking forward to seeing some of y'all soon.

Hey good call. When ya told me you were selling out I hoped you stepped back and thoughg it through. Glad ya didnt get impatient and do something drastic. Good to hear.

I hope you at least went out and told The Other Woman you still loved her. You know how a woman scorned can hold a grudge.:biggrin

Sorry to hijack your thread Timbo, but we're just having some fun. Now all I have to do is get my mom into her new house next weekend, and we can all get back to some real fishing.
