Vic is our resident slab slayer this time of year around them parts. If they are to be found, he's the inside scoop. Good luck! Hope to be out there myself :)
I'm out here right now, and it's slow for us, but, I've never been here before so I'm probably not much help to you
Crescent was slow for me on the 21st. Water was cool but air was hot.
The moon and stars have aligned and has allowed a workin stiff a shot in the dark at her myself tomorrow :)
try and give you a follow up sometime over the weekend.
May it be a HAPPY New Years Day! :woohoo:popcorn
Check results on Florida Crappie Club forum December 12th..
Several two pounds were caught on tournament day as well as pre-fish.
Fish this year are not in the deep water as years past - many don't even have
row in them. Many more weeks of this and females will start injesting the eggs.
It was slow for us this week but we managed to boat a few nice fish. Lake Lochloosa seems to be on fire right now. Got to get there early to et a decent parking spot because the parking lot at the boat ramp fills up quick. Most people are fishing the pads but long line trolling is working well also. For numbers and a few real good fish, Lochloosa seems to be there place to be this week.
Fished there New Year's Day .
Caught 12 keepers (over 11"), two over two lbs.
The warm weather last week slowed them down.
