Question about reports??
I joined cdc a couple of years ago at a suggestion from my dad. Even though because of my work schedule now I don't get to fish often . I do enjoy reading fishing reports, but I have noticed a slack off of fishing reports and pictures of fish. I know some may feel that they are giving away too much info but is that the reason for the slackness in fishing reports? Just wondering.

Have you not been seeing all the reports by Spiderman, hobo, Litewire Hooker, Golfpro Jody and me? We give a report every time we go that has enough information to get anyone started.

that seams like they are afraid of giving away their secrets or honey holes . the reports have been slack till a give away then the reports start coming in . helping fellow fishermen are the reason for the site , have saw more of the old members putting fishing reports on Facebook than on here i don`t because i haven`t been much and when i did get to go i didn`t do good so i didn`t report . you don`t have to give up secret spots just depth and color of lures and how you are presenting your lures and the type area you are fishing . hope to get on the water more soon now that i am retired . after selling my business and retired seams like the weather and some health probables i have been not able to go when the fish are biting . after Christmas i hope to get out more and i will be posting and giving some reports on lake Blackshear .
planning on a get to gather some times in March or April so keep it in mind to attend if possible . will be at Ga veterans state park

Papasage, I can assure you that the giveaway has nothing to do with my reports. The crappie have really turned on the past month which just happened to coincide with the giveaway. Heck, all I need is a few more jigs!!!!!!!!!! I am going tomorrow but with that comment I will not post any results!

i don`t mean to upset you .i know some that have been going and not posting on the site but posting on face book . i know the crappie bite has be n slow and not as meany reports to post but i know some that said they didn`t post here for the reason of letting the members know what they are doing . if your are not one of those you should not get upset and keep posting your trips .i have been on this site about as long as most anyone and i know the crappie bite
slowes and not as menny reports are posted . papasage

More seasonal at times. Some just enjoy posting.Others prefer looking. Ga. is a good state for reports. Also check out Florida, Arkansas, Mississippi in the spring, Louisiana year round. I have been doing report contests all over the sight, the reports come with or without contests. main difference is actually putting the word report on them. When contests are not running a lot of people post, but just don't write "report". I counted 32 reports in the contest and still have a day to go. That is in 3 weeks.

You can run a search CDC posts for the lake you want to fish and find out a lot of info.

I haven't been crappie fishing but a couple of times since October, been hunting instead. Freezer is full, so I will be fishing more, hence more reports will be forthcoming. Except for today...I.m going on a squirrel killing.:biggrin
I don't mind sharing info on what lake, conditions, jigs, speeds. etc. but I have gotten away from giving out specific locations on the lake.

Question about reports??
Sorry if I upset anyone. Thanks for clearing the air for me and for the good info. Mr Earl I have read the reports you mentioned and enjoyed them very much. I don't expect members to put creeks, brush piles or any location on here. I just enjoy reading the reports since I have not been on the water for about six months due to work. Papasage you have been an inspiration to me hope you get to feeling better. Dutch I always enjoy your posts it seems we might be kindred spirits. River fishing is what I grew up doing. Hunting is right behind it.

I think that Earl, Spiderman, Jody, and several other people that are retired (sorry I can't remember everybody no offensive) have been posting great reports and they have been catching fish. It sure makes me want to go fishing. They have been wearing the fish out. It is winter also so the reports do slow down a little. I think they give good information. What is the Facebook site that shows reports? I would like to check out the Facebook site. I don't do Facebook so I am not real knowledgeable about it.
