trying to decide between grenada or sardis this weekend....which one would you pick?
also what boat ramps are best at this time of year for each lake....this is my first year fishing fall and winter on these lakes. been around sardis my whole life in spring and summer but never fished in winter...I went to clear creek ramp last week and couldnt launch from there.
This time of year best to use Engineers Point at Sardis
I just got back from Sardis, tiger... about 1 hour ago. Muddy and they are really pulling some water! Fished for 6 hrs trolling minnows and jig/minnows. Lake is about 6 1/2' above rule. Caught 1 6" dink! Nothing else! I fished Enid Sun and caught 8 shorts, but at least I had a little action, and it's not as muddy as Sardis. Contact Rees Guide about Grenada. Was at Nader today. Main channel at the pinch point is less than 2 ft deep. I actually got a reading of 1.4 on my thru-the-hull depth finder but I may not have been exactly in the center.
So at this time of year you can't even get a boat in at Grenada?
Once it gets below 194 its a pain, be under 195 in the morning and below 194 by Friday morning.
Went this past Sunday but don't know the lake level. It's low tho.
Definitely not getting in Grenada this weekend.
wow...i never knew that it got so low that you couuldnt get into it...thanks for info I will try bay springs or pickwick
