I'm guessing "hump" .... based on the fact that the "beds" on the right side of the screen have the shadow showing on the left of the "hole", so if the image on the left side of the screen were a "hole" then the shadow should be on the right of that hole (where the sonar ping wouldn't reach & display anything).

Hump, because the mounded material is a hotter return, if it was a hole I don't think there is anyway the return would be hotter. Also I just cannot get my brain to see it as a hole.
If it was a hole I think the shadow would be on the opposite corner.
Could be wrong as easy as I could be right! LOL
I 'm with Redge, for all the reasons he explained.
Im gonna say the hump is to the right an the hole on the left. The shadow of the hump is over the hole.

If it is a hole (which I don't think it is) I would like to know what is keeping it from filling up with dirt, silt, etc.

It's a hump with the shadow on the left side of the hump. BG beds are on the right side of the screenshot, did Monte catch any BG's??? Nice pic, would like to see a shot of this spot zoomed in to see the detail better.
