GRENADA AND COFFE BEANS
First trip to Grenada was a blast. Didn't get the three pounder that I was hoping for but the number of BIG STRONG Crappie in that lake is amazing!!! Never caught so many "Routine" 2 lb fish!!! I did catch a personal best of 2 lb 10 oz.
I grew up on a farm where we sprayed coffee beans and I pretty much hated them ... Fishing Grenada .... all we were looking for were COFFEE BEANS!!! Crappie were piled up in the bean stalks in 3-4 ft of water. Strike King Slabalicious pink and chartreuse (Hot Chicken) was one of the better solid body on a 1/4 oz white double hook head from J&H. Orange and Chartreuse Southern Pro Umbrella was hot as well. BIG Minnows died on this trip.
I offically christened my new G3 Eagle 176 on this trip ... Yup, I fell in!! 64 degree water really aint that bad but it didn't make me want to participate in the spawn. It does however give you a little extra energy to get back in the boat!!
Here are a few pics from Loc On (Chris) and my trip. You'll notice in the last couple of pics that Chris wore his "Lucky Kilt" ... kinda awkward but he catches big fish so I let it ride.
:biggrin

Looks Like you all had a ball. Grenada in the spring is one lake I make sure I put vacation time on every year. I love how those fish hit and come out fighting. It truly is the Best Lake in the country for size and how many big fish they have in there. What A Lake. Makes me wonder what a 12 inch limit would do for some of our lakes.

Looks like you found them!!! Congrats on a great trip!!
