Does anyone have experience with one of these.
I read an article stating to place one of these on your sonar wire so it can reduce the clutter/rf signal Which comes from the battery or trolling motor. This supressor is suppose to reduce rf noise in the screen. Attachment 196635
You can get those clip on models at Radio Shack. I've tried them but they don't work really well. Helps, but not a solution.

I've never heard of anyone putting one on the battery cables.
The ferrite core does not eliminate EFI/RFI ...its job is to arrest EFI/RFI before it reaches the head unit ...
If the ferrite core is put anywhere in the cable except right before the head unit ... Other stray EFI/RFI can get in the cable between the ferrite core and the head unit and show in the unit display as interference ...
Install the ferrite core as close to the head unit as possible ...
