central IL. ice thickness?????

figured Id start a thread for those of us who do the ice fishing thing. Sorry I have no input as of right now but seems still a little early.

Just checked my pond drilled 3 holes from 5 ft- 20ft. Ice was 5.5 to 6 in thick.

Crab orchard was 2" today.

Gonna try tomarrow. Might just be fishing off the dock at lake argyle

I don't know for sure around here, I will have to check with my bro-in-law tomorrow and will let ya know.

I'll check here tomorrow , I'll bet atleast 4" hasn't been much above zero all week

I wont have a day off till weds. but ill probably give a pond i got permission to fish a check. Ill post when i know something solid.
