G ville help please
I have a friend coming down the 1st week in june and was wondering where he could possibly find some good bream/shell-crackers for his son to catch. He is staying near Warrington? landing. HE said its about 20 minutes from water front. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I used to wear the bream out near the old county park in Warrenton but they don't allow public use of the boat launch now..So....On the river side of the Warrenton causeway, on the land at the Warrenton side of the lake, there are lake houses and 1 of them si Jim Kennamer's lighthouse. It looks like an old lighthouse from days gone by and can be seen from the 431 bridges. Anywhere up in the area around the boat houses near the lighthouse used to be REAL good for bream and shellcracker.

Probably going to be running a little late in my opinion and may have to look for some deeper beds. I will let you know if I run upon anything between now and then.

thanks callshy. Same applies to you as well. :cheers2

I agree with callshy, I think a little late. They have been on bed for a couple weeks now. We had a double limit last weekend of very nice shellcracker

I do`nt know about Warrenton but the shellcrackers are starting to turn on in browns creek, fish around the boat houses with polarized glasses you should be able to see their beds.

I cleaned 50 each of my last 2 trips

I've tried to find them the past 3 weekends with no luck besides last weekend found a small bed with only 2 on it so I figured they were just fixing to start. Can you visually see the beds you're catching the shellcracker off of or are they deeper?
