The wife told me I was crazy when I pulled out this morning. The guy at the bait store laughed when I told him I wanted a bag of ice and 4 dozen minnows. Got to the ramp and it continued to rain. ( And lightning). I didn't work 60 hours this week to sit in the pickup and "wait it out". So when the thunder bolts stopped we backed in put some rods out. Pink pony heads was a hot bait at the Curtain. Leaned two things today guys! Crappie will feed in the rain! And #2, a rain suit is NOT 100% rainproof!!! Got soaked but caught fish steadily. When rain stopped so did the bite. Ran up the river and actually caught the biggest one of the day in 4 fow. Good day. Long ride home in wet clothes but well worth it!
