Were those still hot when you took the pic?
No they were cooling.
Use a white base coat.
Haven't been using a base coat this the 1st time this have happen.
Heads may have been too hot when they were dipped which let powder flow off the edges. I find less is better and get more uniform coating with cooler jigs. White undercoat helps as well. Pinks are usually dense enough colors to coat w/o undercoating but undercoating makes colors "pop"
I had some that looked like that the other day, they looked great after they cooled
No need to paint... More for angler than the fish. Took me 20 years to learn that..
