They may know something we don't or their food might have been iced up.
No power outage and few trees down. The frozen rain still all over the trees.
Deer were on the move tonight in search of food.
When I got home tonight there were three does out back by the (empty) feeder. They moved off about 20 yards into the trees and waited while I refilled the feeder, then came back and had supper after I went in.
Its ts gotta be tough being a deer in this kind of weather.
I've had a crew working nights the last couple of weeks and I've seen "herds" of deer on the roadside several nights on the way home. They've been pretty active at night in this cold weather.
Not many deer around here, but the coyotes have been on the move.
I have been baffeled as to why I haven't seen deer as normal around my house. But, Mrs DP told me she saw two groups of 5 on the road we live on. Then to my surprise, we have seen all kinds of tracks in the snow around both of my boats. It looks like they are bedding around them to sheild from the ice and snow. I am glad somebody is getting some use of of the boats.
