I just heard on the radio that the free fish measurement sticker given away by our Dept. of Marine Resources is off by 2 inches. If you get caught with a short fish due to using this measurement device, you will be issued a citation. Go figure.

GRRRRRRRRR!!! Why can't them gubment boys just play sumpin straight up. They wud get a whole lot more support from the folks payin their salary (US) if they'd just quit jackin with us. Hard to have a good relationship with ANY of them when the bosses at the top, who prolly never been in a crappie boat, make the twisted rules. There......I'm done!
That sounds about right.
I bought a Sears 30 ft. tape measure years back. I used it for a few years before I noticed a problem. When measuring, I think 27 1/2", the larger 1/2" mark was at 5/8". I did a double take and gave it to my son so he could see it. I carried it back to Sears. Since I didn't have the receipt I got a replacement. It was the same.
Dang, that would be tough on a builder....measure twice then cut would STILL be off. Don't seem right.
actually being off only two inches for our gubment is not to bad .:dono
Probably a woman in charge of the measurers, you know we been lying to them about length for along time.
