I generally am not one to complain but, if you are in a spot and someone's boat is bumping into yours isn't that too close? What ever happened to showing a little courtesy? Just saying!!!

I always felt like two casts' distance is required...........one for you and one for me........any closer and you're too close, unless invited. JMHO.
If they are close enough to bump boats they are close enough to hear what I'm saying.
It just depends. I had a person to catch a slab out from underneath my boat and I was tickled to death. In another specific case I had someone fish my marker that I was still fishing and ruined the fishing hole by jacking around directly on top of the structure that was in 6 FOW. The pole tips were within 12 inches at times. Same knucklehead cut me off at the ramp after I had waited for 2 boats to load in front of me. :Rofl
It's fishing. If a person can find a fish, he will have company sooner or later but it ain't gonna be me.
You missed it I finally told the guy how sorry he was and that he should have more respect for other fisherman, he got on top of one of the guys in the yak after was literally trying to fish within inches of his boat , what an idiot, he is a member of this forum , I've seen him on here before , I won't say who he is but he doesn't represent what most on here are about! I wanted to get in his boat and it wasn't even me he was crowding , your a better man than me for keeping your cool! Give me a shout sometime and we can hit the creek together!
I cant stand Ignorance on the water. For crying out loud people "GIVE ME SOME ROOM WILLYA"!!!!
Way to close if poles bump ! I've had buddys dodge boats after using a marker bouy to put them on fish. Once we had guys pull in on our bouy and had the nerve to get so close it was bumping their boat. When we retrieved the bouy to move away they told us it was'nt bothering them. It gets too crowded and I usually just move on Nimrod. I know some places that is more diffacult with the crowds. On Lake X , Dardanelle , and Conway space can be limited but everyone needs some room.
I was out there when it all took place. Glad Crappie Greg spoke his mind. It was already tight in the spot where fish were being caught so I just kept my distance but was in ear shot when words were exchanged. I know the other member and he was pissed when he passed by me like he did nothing wrong. No need to fish on top of another boat especially bumping in to them. We should all respect other crappie fishermen and the hole they are fishing in. I have noticed that most are nice enough and if you show them respect they don't mind you fishing around them as long as you have boat control.
I get it. There are times.....like if folks know each other and are 'invited' into the space.........
And I'm thinking more of fishing a 'hole', not so much when 10 boats are all out 'strolling' around in an area. Hard to not get close at those times. But if I'm sitting on a fairly small brushtop, and you come up uninvited and get less than a cast away, I'm not happy. I usually just pack up and leave without saying anything....'turn the other cheek' and all that. I have other spots usually. But it still is not right, and I have no problem when good folks point that out to the ill mannered and misinformed among us.
If I was too close and got told so, I'd get out of the way in a hurry, and say nothing.
