shutdown affected me
Left the house Sunday morning and headed to the Arkansas river to fish below the dam at Pendleton. Got there at 6:50 to find the road blocked at a point that prevented access to the dam. Sign said closed due to shutdown. About a hundred white bass and a dozen catfish thank the congress. Mai. Purpose of the trip was to pick up my camper to move it to Sardis. Gonna leave it at Wallace's or the dam store. It's older and small but since I started fishing the big 4 I haven't used it at merrisac or the white river refuge. Tires were original from 98 and bad. Two flats on the way home. Lucky to have a spare for my boat in the truck. I have started hauling 2 spares. Pucker factor goes down when you have to put spare on but you have another. I wished I had one more after I put the best spare on.

Shutdown is affecting a lot of things, some are seriously silly too. Glad you got home ok, better get some tires before you head south again.
-
tightwad put some new tires on it.
-
Far from tightwad. Just try to find a tire store open between Dewitt, ar and jonesboro on a Sunday afternoon. My local tire store loves me. 3 cars, 5 boats, 2 4 wheelers and trailers, motorcycle, camper and utility trailer.

Sorry you had problems Gomer.

I meant when you got back to j'boro.

We never have problems in the carpet business. Just situations.

Didn't have to pay ramp fee at Sardis. Corp also roped/taped off cleaning station. :-(
-
The cleaning station on the lower lake is jammed. I ranger said it had some extra large bones in it.

thought someone told me you were not suppose to put catfish in those disposals...
