Sunrise is at 6:43, those 6:00 start times won't work unless the thought process is to meet at 6:00 and by the time everyone is done chatting it will be closer to sunrise when they get to the ramp. A 7:00 start time makes more sense.
I thought 6 would be great for chatting and getting to the lake,:fish go to cahoon/Meade and see if there ain't anyone there by 6 Saturday:twocents If its 7 it will probably be 730 before anyone launches, that's 47 minutes of prime morning bite we would be missing.:banghead
Wish i could hit it with you guys!! Sounds like the bite is pretty good right now.
I agree with you Bennett. If meet time is 0600, by the time everybody meets and greets and you get to your lake of choice it will be "legal" sunrise. My $.02, however, I may not even get to fish. Wife just out of hospital and don't know how she will be doing by then.

6 hours fishing is plenty for me!
I agree with Perc about the start time. I like to be on the water at the first legal opportunity this time of the year. I voted for 6-3, but I would be willing to concede the finish time to keep the start time at sunrise (or earlier).
We need to clarify what exactly a start time means. In past bashes everyone is so anxious to go fishing that most will leave before the official bash start time. (which I have no problem with) i.e. Buggs Bash start time of 7:00, most are in the parking lot chatting and leave to go fishing by 6:45. I think that the bash start time should be the time that you are launching your boat and that if you are participating in the bash you should be at the meeting site at least 30 minutes before start time. If someone is running late we need to have a contact person that they can notify. Having a 6:00 start time really just takes an hour of fishing away from the bash since you will not have a line in the water until nearly 7:00 with the late sunrise.
Sorry I should have said meet/weigh in time. It doesn't matter to me. I just don't want it to be 7 and someone show up at the meeting spot at 6:55 and miss the buy in. I figured meet at 6 talk, write all the participants down/collect then be back on the road heading to the lake around 630.
I didn't vote on the date nor time. I'm driving from Franklin, I know some of you drive a lot further. I hope all can attend.
