Big blue!!!
warning... this is not crappie related! images below may be offensive to some viewers. :biggrin
did an after work fishing trip yesterday.... ill let the pictures speak for themselves. landed three big bluefish (one 33inches two 35inches) as well as a small blue and small speckled trout. hooked up with several other monster blues that snapped the line with ease. really fun fighting these fish on light inshore fishing tackle with 8lb florocarbon leader!
my one that i landed...

Dude, haven't seen any of those in years. Made a lot of money on those guys years ago when bluefish tourneys were popular.. Kinda funny, when I was a kid folks traveled far for a chance at them, then they became the dreaded.... now here we are again full circle,... good to see even on a fw board.... thanks

Nice. Find you a good crab cake recipe and use blue fish meat instead of crab. Yum!!

Nice fisn. I fished saltwater years ago and it was fun. Need to go again.

Crazy bet those were a fight!

I love catching big bluefish, just got when I've got a spread set out for tunas.
Shoot, seeing those around I might go set up for a mako in the am.

Love them blues, I blackened a bunch of filets last year on cast iron with butter and spices and folks said they were the best trout they ever ate. They got to go straight to the grill. Hope they are still around when I get back in 2 weeks.

Those are some big blues. Looks like a comeback. Were you in one of the inlets? Congratulations on tying the knot. That's awesome

Pound for pound blues are some of the hardest fighting fish. Thanks for the pics.

Used to fish for them with light tackle when I was stationed in Norfolk back in early 70's. Man those dudes can fight. You guys done good. Congratulations on the upcoming wedding.
