Bream beds
Just giving everybody a heads up because Ive seen several people talking about bream the past few weeks..caught 54 good sized red ear bream this afternoon on a private lake in Central Ark..water temp was 66-68 and several beds on different parts of the lake in 2-4 feet of water..caught 6-10 on each bed tight lining crickets and it was a blast!

I was on peckerwood Wednesday and the bream were showing out. My friend and I caught 83 real nice ones and then started a great game of catch and release. Crickets were the bait of the day. I will caution you now, when tight lining get ready for a real fight. Good Luck.

Those were some brutes!!! I bet they were pullers. I'd like to get after some this year myself. I fished Hamelton high and low last year looking for them and everything else but came up empty while my buddy managed to find a few on Gillham lake. Most of what we catch are just the bull bream though not the bigger redears like you have here. I noticed the meat is even a different color, the copper, red bellied bream have a darker meat, still good, but not like the redears white meat like a crappie will have.
