The lake was about 2' low last friday but I managed to boat 14 keeper specks and 2 nice gills. I was longline trolling in 14-18 fow, 1mph, green was the color of the day. I also lost 6-8 more keepers that spit the hook out right at the boat. All caught on Lightwire hooks.
I heard the lake was down about 2 feet, but it was slowly coming back up...Wont be long before cooler weather and killer fishin....Looks like you had a good day!!!
I think green might be the color this year. I've been using a metallic green with a gold tail and catching them 2 to 1. As far as spitting the hooks out...those lightwires may have a bad taste!!!:Rofl:RoflQuote:

Great catch! Glad to hear the lake is coming back up! It was down over 3 foot last week. Talquin is dangerous to run when down over 2 foot.
