What Is &

Every time someone does the "and" symbol, it says amp. What is amp?

Cliff Claven once told me that symbol is also called an "ampersand", amp must be shorthand for it.

I have been seeing this &amp, on every computer I use, in a bunch of y'alls posts. Didn't know what is was, thought it was some kind of secret speshull code or sumptin?

&. Yeah it does it on my iPad through tapatalk. Have to try my galaxy later.
