Single poling

Well Nimrod you would be proud. I got an invite from stumpstick to tag along in his boat for some single pole fishing a couple days ago. Water temp was 63 degrees and the fish are trying to bed. We managed a nice box of fish for a short trip and 25mph winds in a TWO MAN boat lol. We did take on a little water and it was like a bull ride at times but hey the fish were biting. It was nice to feel a thump lol. I haven't done this since i was in my twenties. Here is a few picts with the jigs we caught them on too.

Yep nice catch, now is'nt jiggin fun when you feel that thump. Don't you feel better about catching them sporting like instead of a wall of lines with double minnow rigs?

Nice fish. I single pole fish most of the time. Even if not catching as many. Love the thump. But I aint to proud to set up a spider rig if I have to.
