New to site, and to NC
Actually i was born here in NC but was raised in a military family. I just moved down here from Boston where fishing for stripers meant saltwater and soaking clams. While I targeted stripers and big blues in the salt during the summer, I would target trout in the spring and fall. Since I have been here, I have been catching a lot of channel cats and a few blues. I have done a fair amount of bass fishing in the past and caught a few crappie in the process, but up until now I have not targeted crappie. I am looking forward to the new challenge, even more so that I am shore bound for now (looking to get a kayak soon). Reading through the posts has been really informative and I plan on putting the information to the test this Tuesday. Look forward to sharing my exploits with you all. Thanks for having me.

Hey from Alabama. Check in at the NC forum and they might help point you in the right direction for some crappie.
