jig heads

what is the best kind of jig head for soft plastics when fishing rocky areas for smallmouth. last year i just fished with the normal roundhead with the collar and they seemed very succeptable to getting stuck in the rocks. i have thought about trying out those spot remover jigheads, they look kind of cool

and how about the football jigs?

In rocky areas ..... your pretty much at the mercy of the underwater structure!!!! ....... you'll lose a few ..... you'll get a few back!

yea i know that no jighead is snagless in the rocks, i was just hoping that one kind got stuck considerably less than what i have been using, maybe not

is there anywhere besides online to get round weighted foam floats around here?

try walmart .... I got some there last year.

i'll try there. i just ordered some off of basspro but they said they have to back order them even though there was not a red * next to the item. o well

wal mart has them, i make the bite indicaters out of them.

Jigheads- go with a football head and go with heavier heads if you dont want to get stuck as much, My standard is 3/8ths but i will go to 3/4ths if I am fishing deep or in big rocks.
