My dad served in WWII . I lost him 8 years ago. Think about him everyday. Thank you to all that serve our country past and present.

Thanks to everyone for their service. Have a great Veteran's Day.
As most of you know we went to my sons basic training graduation a few weeks ago. Right now he is in his technical school but does have access to his cell phone early and late each day so all the family will send him pics and different tidbits from here. Below is a text I got from him on Wednesday that to me kind of sums up a vet. It did my soul good to see a young man realize what it takes and has taken from our service men and women to make this country so good.
Looking at the changing leaves in those pictures of the river Paw sent me makes me miss it. It's drab here you know, mostly just old gnarled live oaks.. It's the little things I miss, and it's given me some perspective on the sacrifices you've made going over to Ramstein and all over that I didn't have before..idk if I ever actually told you, so I'll tell u now. Thank you for what you've done for us in your service over the years. Makes me proud. Commands my respect.
Here's a pic of my dad in France during WWII (on the left). He's been gone since 1987. LORD KNOWS I miss that man.
