Warning.....catfish post.....

I know alot of you only fish for crappie and they are my main target too, but, I also love to fish for catfish, bass and bream when the time is right.
I was just wanting to get some advice on baiting catfish holes. We did this years ago, but haven't for a long time.
We used to sink dog food in burlap sacks about 2-3 days before we went and fished. Seemed to work pretty good.
Had a guy tell me the other day he used to sink sardines in a pantyhose.
Anyway, I know some of you on here have done this and I would love to here how y'all do it.
Also, does anyone know where I can get some burlap sacks?

I have not seen any burlap sacks in several years....the feed companies are using those woven plastic sacks now.

Try any oil mill in the delta where they are processing soybeans...

soybeans works real well. put in some water for about 3 days they will swell and sour pour in a sack or take a 5gal. bucket w/ lid poke holes in bucket and sink it and they will come after them sour soybeans.

I got this trick from Nimrod, use sweet horse feed. Just pour a 50# bag in the spot you want to fish. Fish there in a day or 2 and the cats will be there. Add about a 5 gallon bucket after you finish fishing evert time.

5gal bucket with lid. Drill full of 1/4 in holes put brick or rock in bottom. Fill with cheap dog food. Tie a marker jug to handle so it looks like trotline and everyone will steer clear of it. When I was little grandpa used to use those food blocks for cattle that had sorgum in them.

Beans OR corn works well evidently ......... there's a guy that sets lines right where the co-op fills the barges and he catches the big boys!
