our 1st try at....
we made our 1st attempt at getting some gills on the bed, turned out pretty well ( I think ). was a great time!!! them bigger gills fight VERY well, I was shocked, I have caught a few bigger gills before, but never this many in a row, I think Im hooked, wont be the last time I/we go after em, was non-stop action for us. my friend wanted some for his inlaws that was in from out of town, so heres what we kept for him. hope every one has a great weekend, God bless yall.
40 gills kept, all but one or two (that swallowed the hook) over 8in & a few over 9, most right at 8 1/2 inches. threw a bunch back.

thanks for the comments guys, my son (10 year old on my avatar pic) had a blast, he keeps asking when we are going again, and my friend who kept em had a nice fish fry for his family. I could get used to these bigger gills, there alot of fun. never gave much mind to gills, but I/we will from now on. happy memorial day yall, God bless
