Getting ready to buy a new fryer and wanted some advice about it. I do have a small one but would like to get one that would do up more fillets at one time for a fish fry coming up. I do have a propane fryer that has bit the dust and was wanting to go with and electric. Thanks for your thoughts.
I have an Bravetti,it is something like a fry daddy,it came from HSN. I fryed anything want too fry in it and it does a great job,has the temp & time,read out in digital numbers. Mind is just a single basket,if bought another one would looked at the double basket type.
Also bought a electric turkey fryer from QVC and it would be a Masterbuilt. Now this one does a great job on a turkey,it has a big round basket be able too put lot of fillets in at one time. You can also used it for boiling corn or anything else want to boiled. I like both of these but you would have to decide what you want and what you need. I would reccomend either. Hope this help. I am glad you brought this up. I have been in the market for a new one myself. I have researched & read so many product reviews I am totally confused now, hope someone can shed some light or give their opinions. I thought the new digital type would be the way to go but I have read a lot of complaints that they don't get hot enough, no adjustable thermostat, control panels quit working after just a few uses, etc. This one had the least bad reviews of any in my price range, $90 & free shipping at Amazon.com
Haven't decided on one yet, open to suggestions.

Hawkman, take a look at ebay they have that fryer for 47.99 + 9.95 shipping. I have been checking around a lot too and this does look like the best one as far as reviews. Only thing worries me is it not getting hot enough, I wish I new someone that had one before i got it but may go ahead and get it, live and learn I guess?
I'll let you get the first one & let me know how it does. :D I don't want to cook a lot at one time in it, I have a gas burner & an 8 qt & 20 qt dutch ovens for that. I would like it to get the oil at least 375 so the fillets & hushpuppies won't be so greasy. That is a good price on it, I'll check it out. ThanksQuote:
