... can't give you any info, but ...
the lake is just getting back to normal pool, after being about 10ft over Summer Pool (from all the rains in that area). See chart : http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/wc/res...plots/grr.html
You might try and PM KyTeacher ... if anyone knows what's shakin' at Green, he would ;)
I looked on Fishin.com, to see if there were any reports of interest on GRL .... only found out that the Corps had been pulling the lake down about a foot a day, until it got back to pool, and that the Bass were biting. That report was from a few days ago, so maybe the lake has settled down and gotten back to "normal".
... luck2ya !! (and do give us a full report, w/pics if possible ;) )

I talked with a guy who said he caught several this week and they were on the bed. Take that with a grain of salt because I would bet they are done bedding.
We fished GRL today and did pretty good considering all the boaters. They were out in full force. Put in at Holmesbend at 7:00 am and left at 1:00. The water is at summer pool and clear. Water temp started at 75.4 and when we left it was 78.6. Found them in 11-15ft water. They were either on brush piles or chasing schools of shad. Caught more fish following the schools of shad. Weeded thru alot of small ones but finished with 39. average size was 10" and the biggest was 13.5". All caught on minnows and went thru almost 500 minnows. Good luck.
Thats lots of minnows but thats a heck of a day in my book. Great job and enjoy the filets.
The wife and I fished at Holmes Bend last week and had 37 keepers some were very nice in the 1 1/2 lb range fishing channel drops about 10 deep with minnows. Just about everyone of the crappie still had eggs and was not mature yet. Crappie Pappy help me out with that please. By the way we were drifting minnows.
Fished Green River for the first time since April 4th. Put in at Holmes Bend at 6:30 and left around 4:00. Caught 35 keepers in everywhere from 5 fow to 20 fow. And I also found some fish that seemed to still be on the bed, with several still with eggs. All of the shallower fish still had their "spawning colors." Fished about the same pattern that was posted earlier and I agree the boaters were out in full force. I am going again on Thursday, hope to have a good report then. You might try to find a good spot and fish it at night under some lights, I think that might be the best way to go.
Just my 2 cents
good luck
... I think the cool spells, high water periods, and all have extended the spawning attempt. Spawns can last for a couple of weeks, up to nearly two months ... if conditions keep changing. Green is a relatively clear lake, normally, and it is possible that the fish are attempting to spawn in the deeper/cooler water, than where they would normally try and spawn. Either that, or they've given up trying to spawn, and you're catching those fish (before they start absorbing their eggs). They will try, even under "not so good" conditions, to spawn at least some of their egg clutch ... but, only if they can find suitable temps/depth for at least a chance of some of the eggs surviving. If the Males have left the spawning beds ... that's a sure sign that the conditions are no longer favorable.
Holmes Bend is more of a "river" type situation, than a "lake" type situation ... and the fish that stay in that area may well have been interrupted often enough, that they are giving it one last shot. Either that, or they've moved out of the spawning beds and are grouping back up. I don't fish there often enough to have a good grasp of how they react to the conditions they've had to deal with. I'm more or less speculating ... and that's why my answers are "either/or".

Thanks Pappy for the reply, that does make sense to me.
