I hear you about the perch. Sometimes 10-15 perch will follow your lure to the boat :D. That's one great lake to fish this time of year though. It gets even better from late Sept to late Nov.
My grandpa eats them and says they are good. You guys ever try them?
good list slabking. one correction, remove catfish and insert lingcod!
i miss living in washington...
if it was me i would skip lake samm and keep going past issaquah and hit rattlesnake lake. or head south and hit the kalama or lewis for springs.
Sign me up for a bucket full of perch! Love them almost more than any other fish. Strong flavor, little bones, solid meat and cook up really nice and flaky. Love sea perch too.
Thin them out and have a fish and chips feast!
I never fished Lake Washington (except for Sockeye) or Sammamish, but I was on Rattlesnake the day it opend. Another good one for Rainbow (on the west side) is Baker lake.
Of course nothing beats Jameson (east of the mountains)
RE: Sammamish, what do you mean by "Perch"? I thought Crappie was a Perch? You have any idea where I could see a photo of the "Perch" your talking about?
