Trolling motor aka "main motor" setup

Tired of all the hassles caused by my outboard motor (gas setting, e10, flushing, no tilt n trim etc), Plus I have a new love affair with electric only lakes around where I live. I thought about gettin rid of it and goin "green" with electric power. I already have a MK 40lb edge on the bow of my 1448 Grizzly for fishn maneuvers but Im still pondering about the main propulsion setup. I've dabbled with a couple of electric boat websites such as high voltage bass club of North Ga, etc and looked at their ideas. How does having 2 or three transom mount trolling motors in the back work as main propulsion? Like drinks, how much thrust it too much?

How fast are you wanting to be pushed?

As fast as possible. Enough to fish lakes between 40-300 acres

The "Torquedo" in Cabela's and BP would be very nice, You are actually paying for "New" battery technology. This stuff is pricey but so is any new outboard motor. Let us know what you decide to do.

Google "electric outboard" and you will get several hits.

Keep in mind that speed is gonna cost you. I think the trick would be to find the sweet spot with decent speed and good battery life. That sweet spot would probably be a honkin 36V TM and 3 good batteries.

I'd give up on the idea of planing speed with electric, unless you are wealthy enough not to care about the price.
