This time of year look for largemouth up shallow gorgeing themselves on what ever they can fit in there mouths. Burn the spinnerbaits and pause the suspending jerbaits for short periods and slow down more once the water cools more. For jig and pigs flip them into cover hop them a few times and swim them out. Slow falling soft plastics are good right now too. For crankbaits cast them out and reel them back, but pause them over structure or when they hit bottom. Also right now top water is on fire.
IMMMMMMM back suckaaasss, don't matter what you use as long as it is me using it, fo sho.

I went out the other night off the peninsula and caught sm 3 bass in 30 min. 13-16 inch 80 degree water 4 ft deep on a tube, wish I had brought the top water.
