Chased off by the storms
Diascund was fishable this morning, but eventually the thunder started rumbling in the distance & I called it a day at 12:30. The large spawners were no longer holding in the on-deck circle where I found them last week. In their place were only dinks and turtles. I did run across a few nice ones out in the deeper water. For the day, I managed 6 keepers--largest was 12".
The highlight of my day, however, was this guy-

It sucked down a small minnow near the bottom in 6' of water. At 13-1/4" and 1.25#, it's citation material no matter how you look at it. Although I'm looking forward to finding bigger ones, this is the largest ringer I've ever caught. I also picked up one or two small ringers in the same area, but nothing close to this size.
