Just bought this thing last week. Couldn't wait to get it mounted and try it out. First run out and the "compass board" is bad. I'm not one to normaly purchase extended warranties, but if these Terrova's have common issues maybe I should consider. It's $179.00 for an additional 2 years..... What do you guys think
I have the same motor. I've had it for 1 1/2 yrs with no problems except it is hard to deploy. I have never bought the extended warranty, and this is at least the 6th MK I've owned.
I have 1 that I bought a couple months ago and luv it. No probs. so far
Sorry for your mishap with the compass. hope you get fixed and get back on the water
if i understand right. you just bought the motor. then it should still be under warranty. MK has at least 1 year warranty. so take the thing back to place you purchased and have them fix it. or take to arthorised servere repair shop and have them do it under warranty.
if purchased used then i don't know except get a new board or the compass.
i have ordered the V-2 MK and will not get extend warranty. never get extended warranty. normally no good and only cost more than really get out of them.

I'd have to go look to be sure, but I'm thinkin the Terrovas have more than
a year warranty standard - think it's 3? I've had one since summer of '07,
no problems yet knock on wood.
