Broken Transducer at bracket

Windy yesterday and got pushed into some stumps and snapped the transducer into at the bracket. Nothing electrical broken, just the arm from the mounting point to the head of the transducer. Has anyone had any luck glueing one back together?? If so what did you use?
I need to get my Lowrance 320C back to working. Help please. Ferdi aka Fred

I don't have experience with that particular plastic, but I've found super glue will put most anything together forever. Including your fingers. Clean and dry the parts before you glue. Also a good idea to wear gloves the glue gets everywher if you're not real careful. Good luck.

Super glue didn't work for me, but what did was something called Marine Tex or Steel Tex. They have something similar to it at most auto parts stores. Basically it's a putty that comes in a little tube. You cut it and kneed it to mix the 2 parts. I molded it around the 2 parts after supergluing the pieces together and basically build a cradle around it. Once that stuff hardens, it's tough as steel. For me, 6 months now of bumping off everything and no failures.

JB WELD is good for stuff like that too. Two parts, mix'em up, apply.

I broke mine last year and glued back with epoxy for plastic. got it at wally world and it's still together. Hope this helps.

Thanks Joby but it wasn't the bracket that broke. It was the arm holding the head on just below the bracket. It took a sideways hit and snapped it off. I'm heading out to town in a minute to see what I can find. I'll post a report of success I hope. Ferdi aka Fred
