Here's where I look for water level :
TVA: Watts Bar Operating Guide
Don't use water temps, .... as they change too often :p and are too dependant on "where" on the lake. Besides, most water temp readings from the wildlife or gov guys, are usually taken at the dam.
I'll be down there Fri - Sun ... and will post a report when I get back home. Hey ... if it ain't happening down at WB, next weekend ... you can always come to the get together at Green River Lake (Apr 18) :p

Crappiepappy,
Thanks for the info. I hope you tear them up. I did hear a guy caught 20, 12 were biguns, over a brushpile 8-12' deep on John Deere green grubs. We tried to get a cabin this weekend but they were booked. So we are going down next Saturday, the 18th through the 22nd. Post a report for us when you get back next week. Are you staying at Arrowhead? We are staying at Piney Point down on Piney River. What is summer pool level at WBL?
Bassky
Yep .. 8-12ft sounds about right. Last two Spring trips, we've caught them at about 10ft +/-
We are staying at Arrowhead, but due to the stormy stuff coming in, we're gonna wait until Sat AM ;)
Summer Pool is 741 ... todays reading is 739.5
Arrowhead Resort website says Summer Pool is usually reached by May 1st !!
John Deere green sounds about right, too. We've done good on green/char & yellow/char over the last couple of trips. Always had good production from Junebug/char, too.
I will report when I get back ... hope to have some decent pics to show, too :D
Don't know, and haven't heard anything about TVA holding the lake back from pool because of the ash spill ... They changed the timing of the level up/down schedule back several years ago. Maybe not everyone got that memo :p Anyway, here's a good place to check on what the levels were, the last two years : Watts Bar Lake Water Level
Put your cursor on the different level lines, and they'll turn red (indicating that years levels) ... then move along the line and it will show the dates when those levels were present. According to this site, the lake's at 739.6 and has dropped 0.2ft in the last 24hrs. But, water level's about the same as it was this time last year. It'll be OK, as long as they don't drop it down a couple of feet, or real fast.
