...or anyone else. What is the stuff you see attatched to tree limbs, at or below water level, usually in the springtime when it starts to get pretty warm? Around here (central North Carolina) it is sometimes almost clear or a greenish- brown color, built up an inch or more thick on the limbs or big round blobs of it. My nephew was asking me last spring & I didn't have an answer.

ps ... Hey Moose ... I saw a jellyfish at one of the local lakes I fish, back when I was young - couldn't believe my eyes ...LOL!! This lake also has the Bryozoa colonies, on occasion. .....cp
Well I'll be darn. I've have seen that stuff all my life in some of the lakes I fish. Now I know what it is.

Thanks Moose & cp. If I wasn't smart enough to know the answer at least I knew enough to ask the ones that did. According to the website that means the lake is in pretty good shape. That's good to know.
