troubles by the numbers, heartaches by the score

Fellas, some days ya just gotta wonder who you pissed off that was in charge of things.
problem no. 1: trolling motor burned out...ok it was 12 years old...it was time for it to go.
problem no. 2: lowrance depth finder x510 traded in on lms 522c igps. Wanted to know what my trolling speeds were and be able to mark my fish caught on the gps. First day on the water brand new depth finder/gps goes tits up. Lowrance tells me, "it will be at least 4 to 5 weeks before it will be ready, probably longer because we have started some new programs". (? programs)
problem no. 3: take my friend fishing Wednesday to same spot I went on Tuesday....Tuesday's catch-41 keepers Wednesday's catch-0 keepers. Only caught 2 fish all day one crappie about 8 in. and a spotted bass that could barely get a 1/16 oz jig in his mouth. Friend drove 3 1/2 hours to get here because of my "hot lake report". He ain't real happy with me just now.
problem no. 4: pulled my boat out of water early because fish are not cooperating and just to be nice tried to pull off the side of the road to give people more room at the ramp. Buried my truck with my boat sticking out in the road in the way of the ramp. I have a Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 and when I say bury I mean frame on the ground buried and I am not 3 feet from the pavement. Guy in a dually finally came by and pulled me out. Have you ever seen a chocolate covered Ranger bass boat? Inside and out chocolate covered?....oh well....it washed off.
other minor mishaps...I stepped on the trailer tongue and my feet were wet. I slipped and when I tried to catch my self my hand landed on my trans ducer on the trolling motor and it snapped into. The very same day I hit a small limb in the water and broke the transducer on the back of the boat as well. Thank goodness for epoxy sticks. I was able to fix both of them with it. I was walking the trailor tongue again(I fish by myself alot so I have to walk out the trailor tongue to launch my boat) and I stepped on the little cover to my brake fluid well for my trailer brakes and the top falls into the water. It isn't daylight yet and I can't see it with my flashlight so I had to go for an early morning wading that nearly froze me to death before the day was over.
I could go on it seems but I will stop now and just say I hope you guys are having better luck with things. May God bless you and give you good days on the water with big fish in your live wells...........brim

Wow - I think you had all your 'bad luck' for 5 years or so occur in a week or two. Hope things get better for you.

And I thought bad luck followed me around, this is almost to dreadful to een think it could possible happen. But at the same time seems like you may have hit rock bottom so you should start seeing only good things happening.

Will find you a lucky rabbit foot just in case to send yea, but again with my luck maybe i shouldnt

My luck caught up to me also. Young kid tried to beat the light and crashed my car, gas line needed replacement while on the water, wind came up and blew 30 mph and turned cold....fish got lock jaw....but I wrote it off as a bad week and am now recovered, car is almost done, rental has been nice, and am planning another day on the water soon as weather breaks in a few days.

Brim that's what happen's when you leave your Friend's at Crappie.com for to long I've been waiting on some test reports,keep an eye on the weather seems like you could have gottin in on a pre front feed'in freezy the next day when you took your friend was what I call the black-hole-day dosn't matter what you throw at'im.

Mine was almost as bad. Went to back the trailer into the water and went off the end of the ramp.:eek: Got one of the tires caught between the end of the ramp and the extra cement that was dumped at the end of the ramp. The trailer was down to the frame on the end of the ramp. Stuck. Couldn't go forward and couldn't go backward. Boat is half on the trailer and half off. Finally got the boat after pulling a muscle in my back. Got in the truck and gave it the gas to get trailer unstuck and poked a hole in one tire of a sharp piece of cement. Pull the trailer up to the parking lot and noticed right away that trailer looked strange for some reason, than it dawn on me I had bent the tongue of the trailer right between the winch and first roller. No wonder I had a hard time getting the boat off the trailer. The tubing had a nice crease. replaced the flat tire and put the trailer back in the water ,after about an hour got the boat on and pulled up to the parking lot.

My truck was facing forward but the boat was facing to the right. I could see the front of the boat out of my right side mirror. The front of the boat stuck out about 2 feet from the trailer. I drove home on all the back roads I could find, all 2 lane roads. The trailer was in the right hand lane and the truck was in the left hand lane.

I guess it is true what they say WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS this is like having your very own little horror forum

Perhaps we should add a Horror Story section as well here.

these reports make my problems so small ....................................

Let see, how does that friend of mine say it. I think he says, "some days it just don't pay to chew through the leather straps". Now I think I know what he means. Best of luck to all of you.
