I did multi color PP!!
I did it and didn't make a huge mess out of the jig heads if you can believe it. It may take a little longer but I used a candle to heat them up and it worked great. It was even on lead free jig heads so lead should be easy.

Ugly I know but hey, the fish won't tell the difference. A little practice and I should be able to get a better sprinkle and not so blobby.
For those that have done this a lot, what colors are best as a base coat and which ones work best over what color to really show them off? I tried yellow on orange and it looks bad, bottom left. Orange on chartreuse wasn't too bad, top left. Orange on yellow looks great, all the rest.

Hey F4A ,
Don't the candle soot up the jig head??
They look nice,I like the organe color.

I like those. I keep saying I'm going to do the same thing. But so far I keep putting it off.

No soot yet, I don't actually touch the flame with them just rest them about 1/2 inch above it.
But have to give flatfish the credit, he told me how to do it and encouraged me with his awesome paint jobs. I just hope mine turn out half as nice.

Yeah if you don't touch the flame you don't get soot from candles.
Check out my website, I have a bunch of pictures of ones I like.

thats how i do mine also but i use a alcohol burner. I have a pic of them in the multi bucktail thread. Nice job

Well I did another 50+ and did okay on them. Nothing I won't make a jig out of and fish but not exactly what I want either. Gonna have to figure out how to put eye spots on with powder paint once I get sprinkling down. I really want to make stripes and lines and real dots as well as sprinkles so I have a lot to learn.
Oh and if anyone was wondering, lead free jig heads do just fine with a candle. I did a dozen of them and cured them at 275* for 30 minutes. I did deform 5 of the jigs over the candle but I left them way too long and touched the flame so it was my fault.

Fish I saw somewhere and I've been looking for it but there's an eye dotter bottle for powder paint. I'll keep looking for it.

i read somewhere that 2 straws work. you get the sizes you need (stir sticks or whatever) put in powder and then heat jigs and dot your eyes on
