Ouachita on the Ides of March
Water temp started at a cool 51 degrees where it had been 58~
It finally warmed to 54. My report is a bit like Creekslick's on Greers Ferry.
Crappie were slow and tight to cover though over here. In 25 fow they were about 17'. We fished at 15-17' deep and caught only seven, the biggest of which was a 15 1/2- incher white. The rest were smaller blacks.
I expect each day to be progressively better. Will be there in the morning for a little drift fishing since the brush piles are not producing like they should.
More tomorrow evening.
