crappie are starting to bite farely well, but could be better. water temp this morn was 55 to 57.8 deg . by next weekend should start in pretty good. i didnt have much luck this morning but talked to a few that had caught 10 or better at a time, last couple of days!

Hey CH the water got up to 61 there today! Caught 5 keepers and a few dinks. The keepers were good ones 12-14 inches. 1 3lb bass,1 3lb catfish and 1 5lb gar also caught. It was nice and not to windy out there. If you see a black Z71 w/camo buggaurd at ramp just wave down the black and silver Hydra-Sport and jump in. Depending on the weather I will be back soon. Ohh yea I caught em all 4-5ft deep with slip cork and minners.
hey manny, was you going up to the old rendering plant? fishing the brush and trees there or what? just courious i was fishing about that deep sunday and had a couple of bites but didnt stick to one place very long. my buddy and i went up in the old river channel today and caught 2 nice blackies but thats it.

Yea CH went up the creek past the mill were the feeder creeks start comin in. Most bites occured went they were pulling current out seemed like. I would like it to rise abuot a ft in there.
He CP Okane is a Creek off the River behind Paris, Ark closer to the Ozark Dam than Dardnelle. Got some nice Backwater channels And the creek usually Best place around here to fish early.
