Hey -
Although still a noob to jig tying, I have noticed a peculiar quirk in the excellent photos of ties here.
Most photos of jigs still in the vise are "hook-point-down" . . .
this actually means that you are viewing, and even TYING the jig upsidedown.
In the water, the jig will ride 'hook-point-up' -
I think it is important for noobs like me to know,that, what you believe to be the 'belly' of your jig when tying, will actually be the 'back' when fished.
Do the crappie know this??? ;)
I have no idea...
But it might make a difference in the way your jig performs and is perceived.
Am I wrong?
