where can i go to find out what a boat is worth
nada is the only book site i know of, but you can check bass boat central, ebay, boat trader and you should be able to get a pretty good idea of what they are selling for. i dont have a real good faith in what any of the sites say. a boat is worth what someone is willing to pay. not what you want to sell it for. sometimes people will pay a high price for a boat if it is what they really want and sometimes you just about have to give boats away to sell them. it all depends on what the boat market is doing. sometimes boats sell good sometimes you cant get rid of them. i always say start high you can always come down. its hard to go up on someone once you have quoted them a price.
Post what you got and we can probaly get you close on here!
I just bought a 2005 Lowe 1655 stick steer with a 40hp. Went all the way to Indianapolis to get it because it was a good buy. Right now is a good time to sell used boats. New boats are high and the economy is bad. Check Boat Trader for a simular boat and price it accordingly
I would say close to 6k if sound and clean. Maybe 6500 this time of year when fishin is getting good and buyers are looking. I,m a regular at local dealer and help them with sales and this sounds close. With the econmy down right now so is the resales. I looked at some nice 02-05 Rangers and Skeeters this week in the 18-19ft range with 200 Mercs and they were not moving at 13k and 15k and thats pretty cheap. Hope this helps you get close. I found one identical to yours listed for 6900 and it hasnt moved in about 10 months.
Seems a little high
I was thinking 5500...MAX. BPS has a 16 ft 25 horse brand new one for 7995
Yea fellows for a tracker it sounds high but the difference is the Pro Crappie model. The hold a little beeter resale because of the set up. They have forward and rear live wells with a middle bait well. The decks are lower also to keep you closer to the water. Now I am not saying he will get 6500 I was thinking start at 6200 and negotiate down. It depends on how fast he wants to move it really. A new Pro Crappie 175 starts at 13k w/25hp and 15k w/40hp but like I stated earlier new boats sales are down and resale prices are cheaper too! Hope he gets it sold and the new owner reports his catches on here! ;)
