sdhc card

i just got a scandisk sdhc 8gb card will it work in a 997 si humminbird?i dont want to open it if it wont work .

Yep it will work just fine, only thing is if you have a older model card reader it may not handle it. I hope U got the Extreme III cause it a fast card 2 seconds or less & U can shoot another pict.

Your HC cards don't write as fast and that's the issue if you want to catch something fast. Also I've had lots of problems with them reading in my card reader on my XP desktop but no problem on the Vista machine.Depending on your operating system you may have issues if you want to save it to your computer.
Like jaxsprat said you can't go wrong with the SD extreme II or III and they write much faster.
