A few of us guys at work are heading to Lake Norfolk in late April. None of us have ever fished that lake or a lake that clear. We are looking for any advice that would help. We are staying at Blackburns Resort. Thanks Chris

Hopefully when the time gets closer I may be able to help you out a little. I also understand Steve at Blackburns's should be able to help you out. From what I understand he has a map with a list of brushpiles and structures that you can fish. This will be the first year I fish the lake for crappie, but I hope to have a pretty good line on them by the time you come down. If I can help you out I will be glad to.
Matt
Norfork's not my home lake but have crappie-fished there a hundred times or so. If the weather's mild when you're there, there should be easy fishing at cover (lay-downs, etc.) close to the bank for spawning white crappie and smaller blacks. The biggest blacks might be done spawning by then, but it depends on the weather. If you have cold weather I'd vertical-fish any brush piles in about 15- to 25-foot water you can find about half-way up the coves (if the water level's not extremely high like it was last year.)
Weve already talked to Steve and hes given us a # for a crappie guide but hes busy for the first part of the trip. The advice sounds good. Will i need a GPS for these maps? im hoping the weather will be mild.
I'm not sure if he has GPS coordinates with his map or not. Hopefully by the time you come down I will have some marked on my gps that I will be happy to give you if I can figure out how to do it. I'm sure you have seen Blackburn's website, but he also has a fishing report he does Lake Norfork Fishing Report by Blackburn's Resort
I also have a number of a crappie guide I have found. I have not used him, but I plan on it. Anyway, I can't personally vouch for him.

I picked his card up at Fred's Fishhouse in Mountain Home.
Hope it helps.

Thanks Matt. I will probally give him a call this evening. If you use him first let me know how it turns out. Chris
I'll let you know if I use him. On the back of his card he has "2 people 1/2 day $180" and "2 people full day $220"
Forgot to put that on the original post.
