Caught a few yesterday
Went to Chicot and Connerly yesterday. Started in the lake and ended up in the bayou. The fishing was slow, picking one up occasionally, but with such nice weather yesterday we had a great time. Caught them on a orange headed jig and a black and chartruese tube, and also a chartruese tube with red sparkles. Early caught them at 8 ft. deep and by afternoon were catching them 3 ft. deep. Ended up with 17 keepers from 10.5 to 14 in.

A good lookin mess of white perch there Jerry! When it comes to eatin', that's the upper crust of the Crappie family in my opinion. You keep posting pics like that and I am going to have to find a jig pole and hit Connerly! BTW, I got blown off the water this morning at Grand.....should have known better after hearing the weather....didn't catch a fish. My brand new Optima trolling motor I bought yesterday died during all that wind after just one hour of trolling cranks. I got the boat out of the water and swapped it out with my old Everstart battery that was in the back of the truck. Still not in my right mind, I headed over to Lake Enterprise at Wilmot thinking it might be a good lake to fish in the 20 mph wind we were getting. It started raining just as I started fishing and rained hard for the entire 2 1/2 hours I fished. I caught 1 bream and 1 bass during that time and finally decided to call it quits. Now I'm home and dry and playing with grandkid. Thinking about Lake Washington tomorrow....it just has to be better than today.
