Well, I finally got out on the lake Sunday. It was a little windy and pretty cold, but me and my 12 year old son got to spend a few hours out on the water. We only managed 1 crappie, but my son got to catch him and he was a nice 12" crappie. We caught it over brush in about 25'-30' of water about 10' deep. We were using a slip bobber and minnow. Hopefully we can get a better day on the water soon.

Even if the crappie wouldn't cooperate much it's great that you guys were able to get out and spend some "MAN" time together. Good job.

I finally got my boat last year but because of the high water we didn't get to do a lot of quality fishing last year. Hopefully we will get to have alot of trips to the lake this year. He likes to go, but he still likes it better when they are biting. I will try to keep a report posted when I am able to make it down there. May be another week or so before I can get loose to go again.
